The weather of drenching rain with gale force winds did not hold anyone back and despite come home a bit soggy and muddy the entire team did superbly.

The team was made up the following runners who finished the race in this order; Chris Colville, John Blackburn, Rosy Colville, Kate Blackburn, Fran Dangerfield, Philip Goldsmith, Jenny Kramer, Ray Arnold and finally Caroline Dooley.

The runners are still collecting donations and sponsors but the figure raised so far for the Alzheimer’s Society is over £2,500. Final figure will be announced and presented to the Alzheimer’s Society in due course.

Pentlands helps out the Nursing and Midwifery Council by mentoring and guiding student nurses who need to have experience in the field of nursing older adults.

Both the Matron and her deputy are approved mentors and they are highly regarded for excellent nursing training and generally being lovely nurses.

The new building was recommended as an entrant for the best healthcare development for 2009 and became a finalist. Blue Cedars the new wing at Eastridge Manor is so well designed everyone is staggered by how attractive and impressive it looks.
