Pentlands Nursing Home is situated in West Worthing and is well positioned for local shops and access to the sea. The home is one of Worthing’s longest established Nursing Homes but has been rebuilt and refurbished to achieve its high standards and attractive appearance.

Pentlands Nursing Home is recognised and qualified to provide Palliative Care for terminally ill patients. The home meets the Gold Standards Framework requirements to care especially for cancer or long term illness patients. The Matron at Pentlands is exceptionally highly qualified in caring for such patients and the comfortable home environment provides a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere for both the patient and families.

The home has thirty-two en-suite bedrooms. These rooms are all attractively appointed with television, access to telephones and hydraulic lifting beds. In addition there is a most appealing ‘solarium’ type lounge which faces directly on to the pretty rear garden.

Matron:

Debbie Hathaway

I have worked for South Coast Nursing Homes for 10 years as Deputy Matron and for the past year as Matron. My job entails managing a busy, happy nursing home which caters for elderly residents that promotes their rights, independence, privacy and freedom of choice. I am also responsible for the well being of the staff. I enjoy the interaction between the residents and their families. It is very satisfying to observe residents maintain and often regain their health and start to enjoy life.
