White Lodge was originally a unique single-storey building of character built in the late 1920’s for, we understand, a tea planter on his return from Malaya. It stands in its own landscaped garden. It is approximately 200 yards from the sea and the same distance from the local village shopping centre with Post Office and General Store. It has been skilfully modernised and extended and now provides superb facilities and a very happy restful home for people requiring 24 hourly supportive care.

Accommodation is spacious, with thirty, large, self-contained single rooms. All rooms are light, airy and very tastefully and comfortably furnished. All have modern double-glazing, colour, digital televisions and telephone points and a push-button staff call system. All bedrooms have their own private en-suite facilities. Some rooms lead directly onto the garden patio while others may have views of the sea.

The gardens are very beautiful and a the home benefits from its own recently added block paved car parking, making visiting easy and stress free.

To encourage and enable residents to meet and have company, there are separate lounges, separate dining rooms and a delightful sun lounge. Residents are also encouraged to bring into small items and personal possessions, which may help them to feel at home.
