About Us
South Coast Nursing Homes Limited started in 1959 and is a family run company. It is made up of seven homes and 251 beds across the Sussex County. Each Registered Home offers the highest standards of resident care and comfort, 24 hours - day and night, for long and short-term stays.
Care Training and Development
The company has its own training department that conducts a large percentage of the mandatory training requirements for care staff in house. The training team offer development courses for staff who wish to enhance their skills and qualifications and provide support and guidance to staff who are studying. South Coast Nursing Homes provides funding and full pay for staff to receive training as they believe qualified and dedicated staff is fundamental to delivering high care standards.
Doctors Services
Every home in the South Coast Nursing Homes group provides a Doctors visit either weekly or fortnightly. This service is free to our residents and only requires that you are registered with the named doctor’s practice that provides the service.
Staffing
Each home has a dedicated qualified Matron, backed by qualified and capable staff, which are responsible for meeting all clients’ personal needs and also for supervising any attention that may be required or instructed by the clients own General Practitioner.
Visits
Residents enjoy unrestricted visiting. However visitors are asked to use discretion concerning visiting at meal times and during busy periods (before 11am).
Services, Activities and Entertainment
In every home there are many services available including chiropody, hairdressing, massages, library services and religious services.
Each home has a least one activities co-ordinator who will organise a variety of events and entertainments throughout the year. Physical and mental exercises are important elements of the activities programme for all our residents. Particular emphasis is given to special events such as Christmas and other holidays when friends and families are invited to enjoy themselves also.
