Training and development of staff is of high importance at South Coast Nursing Homes. Staff are involved in a rolling programme of training including mandatory sessions in Manual Handling, Dementia and Safeguarding Adults.

Staff can also access and request training on various health care related subjects both in house and from outside training providers.

Staff are also supported to undertake NVQ’s with Northbrook and other local colleges. Our trained nurses can develop their clinical skills and update professionally through Brighton University.

This year we have encouraged and supported staff to expand
their knowledge by undertaking Distance Learning qualifications
in dementia, palliative care and safe handling of medicines.

We aim to make training informative, thought provoking and above all fun!
