Every feature and element of its design has been considered to offer a relaxing, secure and comfortable environment. Experienced and sensitively deployed care staff will ensure that residents can continue to enjoy life as fully as possible. At South Coast Nursing Homes, we recognise that every person is unique. We will always strive to understand the individuality of each resident, their past history, preferences needs and level of dependence. Working together with families, it is our aim to design a package of care that is specifically designed to consider how we can enable our residents to feel nurtured, content and able to enjoy every aspect of life in their new home.

Communal areas are designed to encourage social interaction alongside calming retreats where residents can enjoy smaller groups of friends or indeed private time with family. An extensive range of activities will provide cognitive stimulation, promote a sense of belonging and connection with others and improve resident well-being.

Each personal bedroom is equipped with a two way intercom facility, enabling effective communication between residents and staff. Additional facilities include a 32″ LED screen television with sky viewing available, underfloor heating and climate control allowing each room to be ambient in temperature according to personal preference. Wi-Fi, a private telephone, telephone number with free unlimited local and national calls are available for all residents.

Further design features include personalised, illuminated memory boxes, enabling bedroom way- finding and inspiring reminiscence.

Our secure summerhouse can be reached via a covered walkway which residents can enjoy all year round enabling them to safely enjoy a sense of freedom and benefit from invigorating fresh air just as when they please.

Blatchington Manor 001

My mother has been living at Blatchington Manor since it opened. I can not recommend it enough. The staff, the manager and deputy manager downwards are so friendly and caring. We always get a warm welcome when we arrive, whatever day or time we turn up. My mother is well looked after and has even started putting on some weight as the food is really good, high praise from her. She is kept busy with activities every day and the staff have taken the time to get to know mum and what her interest and previous life was like so they can tailor activities to suit her.
